8K Humanities:
  • In Language Arts we are working on silent reading book projects and on our novel study
  • Notices are going home to be signed for students who did not complete chapter questions in our novel study
  • In Social Studies we are now covering the British/French colonial wars as part of Canadian history.
  • Students are completing a post-card assignment, "from the battle-front" which will be due on Thursday of this week

CTS Comps 1, 2, 3

  • We are going over safety and shop procedures as an introduction to these CTS classes

PLS (8S, 8G, 8M)

  • We are talking about body image and students are working on an immaginary story about going to an alien planet where being overweight is attractive.

  • Chapter questions for "Walk Two Moons" are due and there will be a homework check tomorrow
  • ALL Social Studies presentations must be ready to go. Students will be docked marks if they are not prepared on time.

  • we are doing lessons on nutrition and body image

  • Students are finishing up their 3rd project and going onto their final project (scenery)

Design

  • Co2 car race is coming up next Monday!!
  • we will be doing a unit on bridge building after that

  • We are starting "The Outsiders" novel study this week
  • We are finishing up preperations for our Social presentations. Additional research/work at home may be required
  • All storyboards (Social) and short stories (Language Arts) are due and should be turned in. Students will be required to work on them during their lunch break if they are not completed

  • we are begining our scenery project this week. All previous projects need to be turned in

  • We are finishing off our Co2 cars and begining to make preparations to race them!

  • We are still working on our skate park project in this class.
