You will spend one-two classes in the computer lab gaining as much information as you can on your topic person/group. You need at least one page of information, in your own words (not plagiarism).
Some ideas of things to research are:
Where they grew up?
Who were in their family?
What they did before they got into music?
What got them interested in music?
How they got their “big break”?
Are they married?
What kinds of problems have they gone through (drugs, crime..)?
Do they write their own music?
What do they do when they are not creating music?
What are their most famous songs?
What is your favourite song of theirs?
Any other interesting facts about them.
You need to bring in a CD with your favourite song from that artist on it
You need to write at least one paragraph about what this song means to you and why you like it.
You need to create a visual/poster for your presentation.
This can include:
magazine pictures, or pictures from the internet (do not print pictures on school printers)
Lyrics to the song you have chosen for them
Drawn pictures and decorations.
